going through an old hdd recently, i found two flash predictions i did like 900 years ago. they're both completely awful.

nude for satan is going to a lot of trouble to get the results of old league games onto a wiki. if you've got ref/spec/freq logs from older games, get in touch with nude for satan in game.

ss on steam - greenlight

way back in 2013, someone decided to try to get ss onto steam greenlight. the plug was quickly pulled on that shit. welp, "they" tried it again..

skip ahead to the beginning of january 2015. suddenly that shit has been greenlit. it's exciting, but like 15 years too fucking late. a dude named "krynetix" chimed in halfway through a thread on the greenlight to say SHITS HABBENING JUST NOT RIGHT NOW. "SOON" AKA PROBABLY NEVER.

to my knowledge, only priitk and mr.ekted have the "original" cont source. doubtful either one, really. during the DDoS last year, it was fucking impossible to get a hold of priit.

cheese/roxxkatt made a bitbucket placeholder like a million years ago. it hasn't been updated at all.

TL;DR: SOMEONE GOT SS GREENLIT ON STEAM WITH NO [NEW] CLIENT. SAME SHIT, DIFFERENT DAY.

bonus points: the trench forums are fucking garbage, but they've got a dialog going on..

subspaceforum.com, the supposed bandaid fix, is exactly as bad as i thought it would be: confusing to use and dead. don't waste your time.

nude for satan posted this on the "Refugees of Alpha West" facepage group:

"New forums up and running forum.svssubspace.com. Weighted towards the SVS zones still running but at least now zeroing in on SVS and not SS as a whole."

so go use that if you gotta have your forums fix.

[UPDATE] LOLOLOLOLOL they acquired the ss.co database so you may have to message a mod or something to get your acct back up, password changed etc.

Re-Repeating what hallucination posted in August 19, 2014

We've made some progress:

1) Chaos/League now shows in the directory server listings:

sscentral.sscuservers.net

dirserver.ssnecentral.net

ssdir.playsubspace.com

You only need one of these - sometimes some of them won't show the zone - try a different one.

Chaos/League is listed as SSCXX Chaos/League Zone SVS (two X's)

(NOT "SSCX Chaos/League Zone SVS" - that's the old IP and shows 10 players)

Double click on the zone name to add it (it will become bold and green).

Note: when you add this, you will re-download all the zone level files.

2) Some people still cannot connect to the zone - try this:

Go to the continuum dir, right click the continuum.exe file, and select "Run As Administrator"

subspace "news"

last time i logged into ss and played was around the DDoS'ing six months ago - sometime around april 2014. so i'm, obviously, the best up to date news source revolving around fucking subspace, the internet spaceships game.

on subspace.co, polix announced he's pulling the plug on the forum. SpaceHiker said he is making a sitepagewebthing to migrate to. it works good enough, but this feels like the final nail in the coffin. we'll see.


/r/subspace surprisingly isn't about bondage, but the vast majority of subspace (3) agrees that trench sucks ass.
